HCM City – The 2015 Vietnam IT Outsourcing Excellence Awards were honored to 33 country’s top IT outsourcing companies on October 15, 2015.
Top 10 IT Outsourcing
The awards, conferred within the framework of the Viet Nam Information Technology Outsourcing Conference (VNITO 2015), are the first of their kind in Viet Nam.
The award jury comprised representatives from KPMG Viet Nam, Ho Chi Minh City High Technology Association, European Chamber of Commerce (Eurocham) in Viet Nam, American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) in Viet Nam, and Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA).
The award’s special feature is the focus on the software outsourcing sector, which has been enjoying a high growth rate in the past 15 years and has been one of the high-tech export sectors offering high value addition.
It recognizes and honors IT-software enterprises achieving outstanding business results and development in the field of ITO / BPO (business process outsourcing).
The VNITO Excellence Awards are expected to be a valuable credential for the winners to access potential partners and markets, and to create a national brand for Vietnam’s IT outsourcing industry.
A total of 33 prizes were awarded in the categories of Top 10 IT Outsourcing Enterprises, Leading IT Outsourcing Enterprises (14 winners) and Emerging IT Outsourcing Enterprises (09 winners).
Altogether the winners achieved revenues of 5.56 trillion VND(US$244.4 million) last year, of which the top 10 ITO firms accounted for 89 per cent or 4.885 trillion VND ($218.66 million).
In terms of workforce size, the top 10 companies again accounted for a major chunk of the 33 awardees’ total number of 12,665 IT engineers out of approx. 15,000.
Organizing by the Quang Trung Software City and HCA, the two-day conference sought to promote Viet Nam as an emerging IT outsourcing destination and offered an effective business-matching platform for international buyers and Vietnamese vendors.
The conference also launched the first ever Vietnamese ITO / BPO Service Providers Directory at www.vietnamitodirectory.com
